To tell you the truth, I don't really remember the mosquitos, but I had been living with my parents back then whose house was back against a woods in NW Ohio..... IOW I was used to a bunch of mosquitos back then.
I can also still vividly remember the gas chamber shack in full mop gear on a hot humid summer day. God did that day ever suck.
After marching to breakfast..... "Alternate"... "take a chip"... "file from the left column left"... "forward"... "march"
Chocolate milk in my cereal, bacon, grits with butter/salt/pepper. mmm almost sounds good again.
I can remember being allowed to go to church on some Sundays little did the drill seargents know that I was not really very religious.... instead of attending church, we would sneak off to use the payphones.
