This has the exact same feel as my first junior high school dance. Me standing with the other pimply faced boys on one side of the cafeteria, waiting for someone to make the first move.

I've checked a couple other region's threads. The pacific NW is talking about the weather and their (good-natured) contempt for Californians. The North-East has seemed to factionalize beyond Wayne's intent, posting in state by state. The 911 community is split in the opinion as to whether this regional thing is even needed or a good idea, but I sense mostly opposed.

So, I ask the question: What can be done here that couldn't/shouldn't/wouldn't be done on the respective 356 911 914 924 944 968 ad nauseum boards?

Well, for one thing, may I suggest that people could talk about their cars without fear that some of the reading audience instinctively feels the car in question is a moldy rust bucket POS simply because of it's location. And maybe, if a newbie can ever find this regional BB, they won't be encouraged to turn their newly found treasure into a meat smoker. And just maybe this region could refrain from dismissing someone trying to be helpful, even though they call an electrical part a Doo-Dad rather than a cascading resistor!
