****ty gas has been the bane of all of us for years, Normy. Your car has been running on it for years. Not saying it hasn't caused a problem with your car, but I would definately look at other issues first.
It really sounds like your car is bleeding off the residual fuel pressure, or that your fuel pump is beginning to fail. Before you have to stick a thumb out, I'd really check into that. I've had to push a 928 before. They are surprisingly heavy.
