100LL will work fine in cars with no cats and no O2 sensors - like my 911. It will destroy both cat converters and O2 sensors quickly in other cars.

My advice for cat-equipped or O2-sensor-equipped cars is to either fin a 0E station (I'm lucky enough to live near one), or build an ethanol extractor and boost the octane with xylene or toluene.

Mandatory ethanol sucks - I'm fairly certain that it was a factor in the engine fire that destroyed my 951 and I don't put or want that garbage in my cars (except the Benz, which is built for it being a fairly recent model year). I don't even put the E10 junk in my lawnmower or chainsaw or other landscape equipment.

My relatives in MA (a mandatory E10 state with no E0 options I'm aware of) like to hit me up for cans full of the "good" stuff occasionally. I'm happy to oblige.

I'll run 100LL in my 911. No problem. Carbs, no cats, no electronics. Boo-yahh!
