There are a couple of guys running 928s in the lemons races where you are severely limited on how much you can spend on your car.
944/951 clutch jobs require removal of the axles, transaxle, exhaust: merely to push the torque tube back far enough to get full access to the clutch: a 18-20hr (per the books) job. I can do a 928 clutch in about 4-6 hours complete: just drop the exhaust & bellhousing. Not too bad & they last forever.
