i removed the window frames andi put the windows back in. this time the window frames were getting caught up on the window. after finally getting the frame down i could only roll up the windows about 2/3 of the way. as it turns out the cab/targa windows are different from the coupe windows and not interchangeable.
Finding myself with some time while i hunted down a set of coupe door windows i decided to throw a coat of primer on the car.
still no windows, i figured i would edge the car. (i assume its just like painting a room in a house)
things seemed to be going really well so i decided not to stop with just the edge work. a half hour later i had the car painted with the first coat. After a cup of coffee i put the second coat on.
I let it dry overnight, peeled off the plastic and put a few of the parts back on (doors, hood, tail). i am truly surprised by how much better this paint job was than my first. i did this inside the garage in the morning in early fall. My last paint job was later in the afternoon in late spring on the driveway. The first job had soo many bugs and other contaminants in it i had to do a lot of wet sanding. This one looked much better. no bugs no wet sanding.
