Personally I'm not a fan of parting complete cars unless they are a rust bucket and not a rare model. A DIY'r can fix just about anything mechanical on these cars, using used parts where possible to keep costs down.
I've seen what some of the used parts are being offered at and believe the value seems to be just in the Porsche name, as the parts aren't particularly rare.
