Just changed all of my plugs, connectors and tubes (from Pelican). I had one cylinder that had oil in it due to a tube o-ring failure....not a big deal (unless you ignore it).
$600-700 for the same problem? RUN....away from that Mechanic. I did all six cylinders for less than $250 in parts!
