Then don't..it's not for the faint of heart or with bad vision. I have a hard time seeing anything finer than 20 lines per inch. I hate checkering. I recut checkering on refinishes to be proper. Checkering should not be glossy. It's really the last thing you do after you finish the finish. The first cut I made was to cover the repairs. Then I had to recut it a second time to get the shiny off the lines from the truoil. No matter how hard you try to keep it out of recut checkering at the least it fills the borders unless you mask it off, which leaves goo in the checkering, so you have to clean it out again anyway. It's flat checkered so I had to knock the shine off the flats and then cut it from the lines. After that I use truoil cut 50% with mineral spirits brushed in the checkering to seal it without making it shiny.
