I had the good fortune to stay at the Park Hyatt in 2004 on business. The schedule was so jammed I almost didn't have time to go to the hotel bar, NY Bar. The fact that they even have "Loner Pants" cracks me up. I love Japan! Content: All the newer Porsche's I saw were driven by women looking like they were on the way to the amazing stores of Shibuya. By all means go there and check out the Renzo Piano building, The Prada store by Herzog / De Meuron, Comme des Garcons etc. etc and all the wacky architecture. It is really a world class destination type of thing for anyone with the remotest interest in bespoke mini skyscrapers.

Also the department store "Tokyo Hands" is a nice way to kill time. They have the most amazing and efficient selection of metric nuts and bolts you could ever desire, in a very small space. Makes you realize what a bad excuse for hardware store Home Depot is ( & we all suffer for it.) I always buy tools there, they have great well-made tools, anything made in Japan is usually pretty good quality, weird pliers I have never seen before etc. Nice saws of course. which make great gifts for any wood worker pals you might have. Not cheap, but good.

Enjoy.
