Take a five gal plastic bucket, fill with five inches of water, spread peanut butter around the inside of the rim, five inches down from the top, put a paint stirring stick from a block of wood to the rim and leave overnight. Check in the morning.
Drowned mice, no muss, no fuss, no poison. Throw them out and start again.
