I'm luckey, no rodents in either garage but we did use this trick at work one time, we showed up and it was isolated and in a mountain valley, nobody slept the first night, mice in your sleeping bag, running accross your chest etc, we set up the pail traps and drown about 650 of them over the next 24 hours took about a week till we were down to 50 drowned a night and they went for the peanut butter instead of checking out your privates when you were trying to sleep.
I think my secret is I have never eaten food in the garage and its also a new building so is sealed off pretty good. I hate vermin. Not a fan of poision because of the wall stink thing.
