Clean the glass, and then Rain-X it. Use the rag you applied the Rain-X with the wipe the blades after you're done. It can be a bit frustrating as you will probably have a haze on the glass but keep buffing it out. If needed, spritz a bit of water on and then buff. The plus is you probably won't HAVE to use your wipers thereby eliminating the stuttering.

I don't drive my SC in the rain but our daily drivers get a regular treatment of Rain-X.

I also use my orbital buffer to go over the glass when removing wax from the cars. I rarely use my wipers as the water beads up and dissipates quickly.
