I did the one in my moms homed town in Germany when I was younger. It wasn't the monorail type, but the older concrete bobsled style. I tried to go down without using the brake. That didn't end so well. I made it about 2/3's the way down before entering a corner and was flipped onto the track. The sled landed on top of me. Good thing the person behind me was not on my tail.
The one in the videos look like a lot of fun!
