Ethanol blend fuels are more likely to corrode the fuel tank (which is metal); thus, contrary to your stmt. above, such residues would be trapped in this filter media. That none showed up, indicates there are likely no problems in the tank (nor in the rubber hoses ahead of the filter) caused by Et-OH.

I'm sure people (especially CISsies) are having some problems, but it seems that it is being blown out of proportion by some posters.
