I have been reviewing the forums on rear break pad replacement on my 1999 996 and all showed the pads popping right out, well mine were stuck.
A little pulling (too much probably) and out one popped with two disks stuck to it. They seem to be 'caliper dust covers' but I am not sure.
I have not seen any images or videos that show these. Can someone with some knowledge provide me with some information on these? See photo. Your help, as always is greatly appreciated.
