off topic but...

Do people really make their own bullets for the 50 BMG or any other rifle? (brass or bronze alloy turned in a lathe)
Lead cast bullets I understand are common.

The reason I ask is because it was mentioned in the movie "Sniper". (Marky Mark)
.... Why would you make your own bullets if you couldn't guarantee they were all absolutely the same... (weight/size)
And then you'd have to do extensive testing with a lot of identical rounds to make sure your rifle/scope was accurate.

Just seems way too hard.
