I got my fix it ticket singed off tonight. I saw a Sheriff's Deputy in a parking lot across the street from the bank, so I quickly pounded the bracket back into the valence and dug around the car for 2 screws to attach the plate... Couldn't find any loose ones... I knew that the visor screws were short enough, so I took my sun visor off and used those screws.
They were a little narrow, but would just snug tight. Drove across the street and asked if he would sign off. At first he said, "well, you should just go to the court hose to get it signed off.. But, okay.." Yes! e also told me that if I had gone to a CHP station, they would have done a walk around, to check for any other illegal things. Yikes! Good to know.
That front plate looks hideous on my car....
