Me too, but the ones I've seen up close have a "rubber tip" but it's been a few years ago in a gun shop in "deer country". As I recall, the ballistics of the one's I looked at bumped the good 'ole 30-30 up to 30.06 levels but I'm sure I'll be corrected if'n I'm wrong
