Mike, I set an initial goal to lose 10% of total weight in 6 weeks. Anything more then that you could be doing more harm then good. Then I set another goal to lose 10% more. It's easier to reach your goal if you chunk it up. Since I knew I wasn't going to be able to do it by myself I joined Weight watchers and followed their Winning Points plan. In 9 months I lost 45lbs. I've kept it off for two years now. When I saw Dave's post I decided here is my chance to lose more. I know I won't lose as much as the rest of you guys but I thought we could motivate each other to lose some weight and in the end we would all be winners. I would recommend WW for anyone who wants to lose weight and do it in a healthy way. The thing I liked best about WW is that I still got to eat all the junk I normally ate, just not as much. The key is to eat it in moderation and to add healthier (free - no point) foods in between meals.
