It's tough to beat a cheap Sony Mavica for this type stuff. It will focus as close as you can hold it (lighting, however, is the problem with any camera at super-close range). The Infolithium battery is the best in the industry. The lense is decent and some have 10X optical zoom. The floppy disk storage is as easy and quick as it gets and no problem for relatively low resolution eBay pics. If you've got a Sony Outlet store nearby, they've got factory reconditioned versions starting at around $200. -- Curt
