The main problem with pulling new cables, is that I am not sure that I can ever get the new cable to come in or out of the hole under the cabinet - which cannot be moved. The cable was run when we had access to everything. As it is, I've had to leave old cables in there and just shove them as far out of the way as I could, because I can't get access to that area anymore! It was not designed and thought out correctly 8 years ago.

you cut the end of the cable. tape the shizzit out of the end connected to some cable or 200lb test nylon and use that to pull the new wire. OR you figure out a new route. really, this is simple stuff.
