It's been awhile since I've posted anything about my progress, so here's some more pics with my new digital camera.
The throttle bodies cleaned up nicely after alot of elbow grease. Here's a side by side comparison.
The cylinders are cleaned up and free of leaves.
The engine shroud is clean and reinstalled along with the fan/alternator. The MFI pump has been reinstalled as well.
We also turned it over by hand and via the starter. Everything seemed fine except for one sticky spot about 180 degrees away from Z1. After a revolution or 2 it freed up. Any clue what that could be?
next up: reinstalling the oil return tubes, exhaust, a couple peices of sheet metal, a valve job and it should be close to ready to put back in the car.
Am I missing anything?
edit: I've got pictures of the throttle bodies without the stacks in my dad's camera, I'll post them when he gets home.
