Honestly, if durability is your concern, you should absolutely invest in a Rolex. Probably the most durable, well built watch in existence....and they appreciate in value. My old DateJust set me back about $3500 about 20 years ago. Traded it in recently on another Rolex and got $4500 for it from an Authorized Dealer. It operated and looked like new despite years of abuse.

Agree on the huge "clocks" people are wearing these days. My Submariner seems big to me, but works well with my aging eye-sight. Can't imagine anything bigger though.
