My wife & I and fellow Pelican (Beetle Bailey) were sitting next to him at a local Mexican restaurant after he had just come off a tour with Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Kenny, Hubert and Buddy Flett were there and Hubert was really puttin' down a plate of tamales. He was such a great man in person.
