I've been part of at least a dozen for various things - the most I've ever seen was about five bucks - the lawyers always make well into the seven figures (it's typically stated in the disclosure that accompanies your notification as part of the class).

That is pretty much my experience although I am sure I've received close to $10 if I added it all up.
