I work out of a home office or I am in the US somewhere. Salaried + Except for shows, I can schedule travel wherever/whenever which lets me live a home life. I keep reasonable office hours but I do dick around (like PPOT) a wee bit.
Shows (10 this year!) usually mean a weekend away - which I don't really get back. I've never been told (or have I asked) about holidays. I take what feels right. About 5 weeks last year. But if we don't physically leave the continent, I still answer email . . . That's life in the audio trenches.
