Here is my take on why this ****** stupid...penalties are assessed to make sure that one side did not do something that is taking advantage....like holding in football.
If you hold the defensive lineman, you are unfairly giving your team an advantage, thus you get penalized.
By taking away a 100% properly EARNED touchdown, you GIVE the other team something they did not earn. What, celebrating accomplishing a goal is bad? If it's excessive then penalize them on the kickoff, or add 10 yards to whatever return is made on the ensuing kickoff.
There is NO M****** good reason to take away the points for something done after the play that had ZERO GD bearing on said play!
What, should we now add seconds on to a skiier's time because they celebrated after making the fastest time down the mountain?
I hate pathetic whiny *****y turds that think like that...they belong anywhere that's not taking away oxygen from useful people.
