The same thing happened to me this summer with my 06 Tahoe. I went to start it after grocery shopping. Turned the key. Cranked for a split second then nothing. No lights remote not working nothing. I started with the ground cable on the battery. Magically it started. It's been fine since. I did take both battery terminals off the battery cleaned and re-installed when I got home.
