doc's where should i go
i've got a bunion that has gotten progressively worse over the past year or so and want to have it looked into as it is starting to hurt quite a bit. in fact ive gone away from the steel toed boots i've worn at work for years to a softer type hiking boot or i can hardly walk in the evenings.
so, do i go directly to an orthopedist or start with a podiatrist? do most podiatrist do that surgery or will they refer you to an ortho if you think surgery is required? i have a PPO so if i can directly to the surgeon if that is in fact required and would prefer such.
ive already used a splint on it and other over the counter stuff with no relief.
TIA
