Train station parking cost is somewhat offset by not having to pay a toll to get into the city. Yes there are free bridges but that also dictates what roads she'll need to use. Also parking in the city is going to cost. Sure you can find free on street parking but that can be a crapshoot depending on where need to be.
If she goes in frequently a monthly pass can help defray costs.
