The TR4 that i used for the frame and the front of the car (with the ID tag) is a '62...so it's a solid axle. The rear body clip came from a '63. All of the parts were identical from '61 through 65. The car is absolutely the most fun cruising car around. Not fast, handles like a truck, but it is the ultimate conversation starter (and cougar magnet. when i was 18 driving this thing around, the old ladies were going crazy.)
the main thing for me, is that it's what really brought me and my dad together. we spent 4 years working on it. heck, he even convinced my mom that we "needed" another shop to work on the car. so he and i built the new shop. and we "needed" a 2 post lift, etc. the car really just represents the memory of me and my dad. ...and for that it's priceless.
