Here is my final word on the wire harness…..please keep in mind that I had no experience with auto electrical systems so your experience may differ….

Ultimately I ended up having a Porsche race car shop build me a custom harness. They used this product:

Spaghetti Menders

It is definitely higher quality and more of a complete solution (also more expensive)…..if you are creating a system from scratch I think it is the way to go…..if you are trying to use parts of the stock harness maybe not. With the system we used all of the wires still need to be provided and run to the correct locations, etc.

The original kit I was using was good, but some of the wires were not the correct length and the hook up of everything got very confusing for me, but again keep in mind that I had NO experience doing this, so DUH, yea it would be confusing.

Also, I was never planning to use the stock ignition, wiper switch, headlight switch, turn signals ect. So a complete stand-alone solution was needed.

This is what we ended up using: 8 Bay switch panel and relay controller is a switch panel with a fused relay output controller that can operate up to 15 - 30 amp outputs for your car.
