So far I find quite the opposite. I find them very user freindly with great balance. The little "nibs" stop your hand from sliding. My buddy, who is a gourmet thinks they work well too and another friend who is a chef is suitably impressed. They ceratianly work for me and we are already starting to complete the set.

But different strokes for different folks as they say! PWD likes Mustangs for example!
Yes, they are rather pretty to look at!!
