If these regional boards are a help in setting up meets and events or even just a cup of coffee at the closest Waffle House, more power to 'em. I don't understand why that couldn't be done on the already existing boards. I do understand Roadman_944's hope that by conglomerating Porsche owners onto a regional board, there might be more opportunity for owner's of different models to exchange points of view, ideas, and interests.
But really, this is not a good place to "hide", as atlporsche suggests. I'm just glad that **** is a west coaster,
AFAIK, and hopefully he can stay busy dominating the 911, Off Topic, and West Coast Regional boards, leaving this one alone.
Now, of course there is a lot of interest in competitive events, and engine and suspension mods, because what we have here, gentlemen and ladies, are sports cars. My own desire for my cars are maybe a little different than most, because even though I get just as much of a thrill from driving as anyone, I can do it at 40 mph on a straight road. My big challenge, my competition, is in keeping my 30 year old rust-buckets on the road. I'm not talking concourse type stuff, I'm talking get in the car and go. Dependably. Everytime. Why is that such a big deal? Mostly, it has to do with where one is on the food chain.
I have been on the PP boards for two years, and a finer use of cyberspace I can only dream of. Plenty of fine people willing to help with a problem, and tons of archives and articles. Lots of people who can nuance their way around a keyboard better than me, too! But I've read far too few posts from any who are willing to admit they drive through Georgia mud and don't wash it off before the end of the month. Anybody here like that?

Note: I edited this post. Thanks for the heads-up, Roadman_944.
