If your going to get a tablet you should be using it as intended. That is a media consumption device. Watch some movies. Read a book. Read a magazine. Surf the web.
If your going to be doing work get a Laptop.
I support the Ipad in my work.
I recommend the Fire. Its the cheapest, and the Amazon Cloud is pretty first rate.
The nature of tablets is they should be traveling, in room to room, to work. Wonderful chances for being dropped, broken, stepped on, your kid will use it.. ectra.
