A guy in an Atlanta suburb had honey bee hives in his yard for years until code enforcement tried to tell him he couldn't keep domesticated livestock on his property. He ended up getting the University of Georgia involved who told the county that honey bees are not domesticated animals and they are genetically the same as wild honey bees and can not be regulated.
