XDI Ignition Coils
Does anyone out there know how the XDI ignition coils work (or for that matter, if those coils are a common GM (or other MFG) part). As I move from the XDI to the MS3 I need to determine if these can be triggered by a logic signal or if they need some other circuitry. When I look at various pieces of information, it seems to me that the 4 wires to the coil pack are
red/white 12V
Each other controls the firing of the specific coil. But I'm a bit concerned about how to control the charging time of the coil (don't want to fry something expensive).
What are other MS3 users using on their 911's?
