If it's a Chevette you use the key to unlock the decklid crawl inside and place the fob in the glovebox reciever and it will turn on the car. I have 96k miles as a salesrep driven car with the same battery. It's really pretty damn nice to have. Figure 8-12 starts a day and the thing still works.

I drove my truck today and it has 187k miles on it and has been abused from day one when I bought it new back in 2002. The keyway ignition is starting to go away. Sometimes I need to pull the key out and retry it to get it to start.

Yes, If all of my cars worked off of a fob like my che'vette I would be happy. Oh another cool feature is that both of my cheveys automaticly turn the headlights on as needed. My wife's Jaguar needs to have that!
