My Mother drives a mint '85 928S2 (4.7/310bhp - Euro). This prompted me to buy a 928 as soon as I could afford one. It was an '81 4.5 5-speed (10:1 comp) and it was a rocket!
I bought my first 911 ('76 911S Coupe) about 2 years later and then put the 928 on the market. April 2002, I bought my '89 3.2 Cab, which is the most awesome car I've ever owned. Since I bought the Carrera, we have had 3 Porsches in the family.
I like the 928, it's power is supreme, but you're aware of it's bulk on the twisty stuff. Nothing out there is a better long-distance cruiser. I thought the '89 Cab was a nice car to drive interstate, but the 928 kicks it's ass.
