I haven't seen the truth come out yet.

Dude was dumped in a nasty way.
Dude wants a rebound girl. Dude plans on leaving a broken carcass in his wake.

Dude does not want to love and leave tweezers, because he kinda likes her. So, while he's looking for someone to abuse for a while, he's pushing her away because he doesn't want to hurt her. Once he gets this out of his system, he'll be calling her up for fondue dates and to meet his parents.

I did it after my divorce, and I know many of you have at some point. When your mind is set on taking your emotions out on a girl, you know that it will never end well.
