Does anyone still trade CD's? I was watching a history of metal show on VH1 (geez that makes me feel old...) over the weekend and, supposedly, that's how they got there music out, via copied cassettes. I assume this is all done via youtube, etc... now.

i have a pretty eclectic music taste...but usually i'll just use an MP3 download site (i use a legitimate russian one...where the files are in Mp3. albums generally cost about $1, and are virus free. i'm not a fan of proprietary music file formats that don't work on a standard mp3 player. (mp4, wma, etc).
Wilco is a great band. their drummer is a powerhouse with incredible chops. he was an ex drum corps guy and his technical ability really shows. Air is a french duo that i like. their sound is completely unique. TV on the Radio...great band. "halfway home" is one of my favorite tracks.
I like a lot of old music, too. big big fan of older jazz, latin jazz, etc. cal tjader, pancho sanchez, etc.
usually i just go to the MP3 site, pick of genre of music, and listen, listen, listen.
