I have had something like that happen when driving. The lid latch would release and the trunk warning light would come on. I found that there was a little dirt under the sill switch holding it on the edge of opening. Driving it made enough vibration to activate it.
Maybe yours has dirt under it that activates the switch when you close the door? Try holding the switch up and vacuuming under there.
