In my opinion.....
The game would have been more competitive had LSU taken Bama more seriously.
I think they came in under-prepared by a long shot.
Bama on the other hand - showed they DID TAKE THIS GAME SERIOUSLY - and came up with a whole new offensive strategy - which worked.
It also appeared the Bama players were better conditioned both mentally and physically. That's on the coaching staff.
Finally - the better coach won the game.
There are many more detailed aspects of the game I could comment on but those are the main ones that come to mind.
We have a good system in place - the BCS system works. I thoroughly enjoyed all the bowls this season and look forward to them again next year. Lots of games went into OT and many others were not decided until late in the game.
All the teams that are pissing and moaning about not getting into the national championship game had their chance and blew it. That is what makes it so exciting
each and every week - unlike those sports with playoffs.
