David, I am sure you remember when you thought it was cool to stay up all night. BTDT. I don't ever want to do it again.
I used to stay up all night a lot when I was active in the astronomy club. We would stay up to see "just one more Messier object" and pretty soon the horizon is getting lighter. We would go to breakfast as a group before going home. One of my buddies said it was the perfect hobby for someone that wanted to cheat on a wife. You load up some equipment in the car and then come hone at dawn and say "honey the stars were great."
