New 996
I never thought that I would buy a 996. I have always been an air cooled car man. Well I sold my 930 and then met a nice fellow pelican that wanted my 91 964 C4. So I was porscheless for about 3 hours.
I ended up finding a 2002 996 C-4 Cab with a new convertible top and hard top. The best part is that it has a rebuilt engine and not only is it rebuilt, but the case was sent to LNE and new 3.8 pistons and cylinders were used to rebuild the engine. It has less than 9,000 miles and under a year since rebuilt.
The car is great. Drove it to Mtech my porsche shop and then home. A PPI minus a leak down was done. It passed with flying colors. Clean.
One thing that I can see will drive me nuts is the fact that a light weight alum flywheel. It rattles when the clutch is out. I'm being told that I have to deal with it unless I want to put back a duel mass back in.
Also I have ton's of receipts totaling over 27,000. Very nice car. Here are some pics.
