This was one of the reasons why I moved out from NJ.....
Guns laws stink...
Property taxes......
Home prices.........
Roads suck quality wise......
To many NY'ers moved in
Not a friendly state for outdoor activities...(ATV, Shooting Trap/Skeet...etc....)
Even if they did allow it to happen I would not want to see what happens to you in that state if you actually did have to shoot someone..The lawsuits or trouble would be never ending....and this is speaking from experience...I was given a harder time by our township Police many many years ago about my legally owned/licensed rifles than the robber that broke into our home high as a kite....I didn't even use my guns in the incident....
