Saw a tweet from Max Papis from earlier today. Apparently Giampiero Moretti died this morning. What a great personality and friend to sportscar racing over many years. Obviously known for the Ferrari 333SP in the 1990s, but MOMO was also known to the pcar crowd. We were fortunate to enjoy seeing him and his team race the Ferrari team in the mid-1990s at Lime Rock, Watkins Glen and Daytona. RIP.
