Remember, OEM tires are often different than their aftermarket counterparts, even when labelled identically. Per a Bridgestone tire engineer that I spoke with the OEM tires are significantly cheapened to meet manufacturer price requirements. OEM tires nearly always suck.

Regarding the tires above, that is NOT normal wear. I've always been happy with Tire Rack service but haven't ever made a claim. Bridgestone/Firestone tires have always been good in my experience, my wife currently has Firestone Destination AT on her Armada and we couldn't be happier. They're a big improvement over the expensive Michelins that were on there previously.
