I have a great time brewing beer. I don't get to do it often as I like but I understand the process now and get consistently good to great beers.
Two words of advice in addition to all the great advice above:
1. Keep everything sterilized and protected after the boil.
2. Cool fermentation dependent upon the type of yeast used, the lowest side of the recommended range if possible.
